How LocalRamu, an Android app is enhancing the business of local B2B service providers?

The next time you need a plumber to fix that leaking tap or an electrician to repair a fan in your house looks no further than LocalRamu. LocalRamu is a Bangalore-based start-up that aims to bridge the gap between local B2B service providers who lack branding with householders who require such services. LocalRamu is an android application that provides a range of services like plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentering, gadget repairs, home cleaning, home tutoring and many others. It provides these services by connecting people with the appropriate service provider within no time.

What makes LocalRamu different from other companies that provide on-demand services? Here are some of the key features of LocalRamu that set it apart from its competitors:

Easy access to local B2B service providers

Firstly, LocalRamu has two service providers under each category within a radius of 1 km in every locality. That means people can avail the services quickly without any delay.

Time-saving alternative to traditional methods of providing service

It saves a lot of your time since you don’t have to go looking for electricians or plumbers in case you need to repair or renovate something in your house.

Local B2B Service providers and partners benefit from this android app as well

Local service providers also benefit from this app since many of them are not well-known and are lacking in branding. The visibility and business of local service providers improve significantly since more people can reach out to them via the app.

Wide range of services

Hot summer day? Need a water bottle to quench your thirst? Get ½ liter and 1 liter water bottles at your doorstep with LocalRamu. Users have access to a range of services that does not require them to even step out of their houses since everything is provided at their doorstep in a hassle-free way.

Services are provided under nearly 15 categories which include car/bike services, home cleaning, plumbing, electrical services, electronics repair, beauty related services,  Puja/Pandit, interior designing, water tanker and water bottle delivery, photography services, laundry services, tailoring for women, home tutoring and much more. In each category, two service providers are registered with a radius of 1 Km.

LocalRamu was founded by Santosh Tyagi, alumni of NIE, Mysore and former CEO of Bucketkart after he faced some hardships in getting his bike repaired when he hardly found a mechanic and when there was a short circuit in his house which led to some inconvenience since no electrician was available immediately to fix the issue. Another instance was when he wanted to have a Puja and could not find a priest to conduct the Puja. All these instances led to starting a company that can provide services quickly without any delay and hassles.

LocalRamu already has more than 300 B2B service providers on board and plans to expand its base to 10,000 in the next few months. The start-up has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from three investors, two from Bangalore-based HNI and one from Singapore. The raised capital will be used to build the team, set up their office and develop the technology required to provide the services.
